Sock Autumn

65 kr

“Höst” sock is knitted from the toe up and has a heel with a heel tab for the best fit, the wedge is placed under the foot.
The side of the foot and the shaft have a roositud pattern (the technique is also called roosimine). This technique is mainly found on Estonian mittens and knee socks. Making roositum patterns can be compared to embroidering flat stitches while knitting. On these socks I have used the technique for a more organic pattern than is traditionally done.
I have chosen to only make roositud patterns on my left sock. I have patterned the left side of the top of the foot and the left side of the shank. You choose whether you want to pattern one or both socks, whether you want to pattern the foot, the shaft or both. Good, isn´t it?
