Nordic Knitting Society AB collects and uses information that can be linked to our users/subscribers, so-called personal data. It is our ultimate responsibility to process the data in a secure and user-friendly manner in accordance with both legal requirements and the expectations of our users/subscribers.
Nordic Knitting Society is a digital subscription service through which you as a subscriber can access on your mobile phone, tablet or via other equipment, such as computer (the “Service”) in accordance with the Terms of Use, this Privacy Policy and any other supplementary terms governing your use of a specific subscription from Nordic Knitting Society AB with organization number 559427-8953.

For what and when does Nordic Knitting Society AB use my data?
At Nordic Knitting Society AB, we collect and use data/information to always offer our subscribers the best digital services. In general, we use data to:
- When you create a user account and/or take out one or more subscriptions with us.

- Delivering designs, and for subscribers other interesting information.
- Constantly improve our services/products. We will use data on the website to analyze the behavior of groups of subscribers/users, for example, what kind of content is read most or what features, such as forums, subscribers/users actively use. This is to focus on the areas that are most important to our users.
- If/when you connect the Service to, for example, Instagram account/Facebook account or any other similar third party service.
- Delivering and managing subscriptions and other services ordered by users.
- You participate in the Nordic Knitting Society AB organized KAL (Knit-Along), or competition / raffle.
- When we see reason to administer documents in the relationship between you and Nordic Knitting Society AB.
When we process personal data, our primary concern is to do so in a secure and appropriate manner in line with the expectations of our users. You own your personal data. We, as a company, comply with the requirements set out in Swedish and European legislation. All processing of personal data has something called a lawful basis for processing and purpose. Before we can collect and process data about you, we must ensure that the processing has a legal basis. Personal data is deleted when the purpose of the processing is achieved, for example if you choose to unsubscribe from our service.

What data is collected?
The basic user data that Nordic Knitting Society AB believes it needs to collect is
Your contact details such as your name and/or username,
email and/or phone number and payment information, such as credit card type and expiry date of the card in case you subscribe or buy designs in our shop. We may also collect other personal data such as date of birth, address/place of residence.
In some cases, we may collect and process personal data related to user authorization for the Service and your chosen payment method. Because Nordic Knitting Society AB works with third-party payment service providers that operate independently in systems separate from us, no complete payment information, such as a full credit card number, will be stored by Nordic Knitting Society AB. We advise you to read information on how such third party payment service providers process personal data.
How long will my personal data be stored?
Nordic Knitting Society AB will delete your personal data when it is no longer necessary to process it. The length of time this takes varies depending on the purpose of processing the data. We have clear rules and procedures for deleting personal data. Some data is deleted within a short time and other data is stored for longer periods.
In order to fulfill our contractual obligations, monitor and document the use of any gift cards/discount codes and other additional services, we will store the personal data you provided at the time of registration (such as name, username, email address, phone number, payment information) for as long as you have an active subscription or have access to an active account with Nordic knitting Society AB.
You can choose to actively delete the information that Nordic Knitting Society AB has saved about you under “My account”.
We will keep information about your personal pattern library as long as you have an ongoing subscription or active account. If you unsubscribe or terminate your account, your personal data will be retained for twenty-four (24) months, to improve your user experience and to make it easier for you, if you wish to resume your subscription during the said period. You can of course notify us if you do not want us to keep your personal data.
Use of data processors
We use service providers to perform certain tasks for us. Some of these service providers will have access to personal data, an example of a service we receive is data storage capacity. The service providers are our so-called data processors. This means that we remain responsible for the processing of personal data. The company acting as a processor may only process personal data to deliver the relevant service to us. They are not allowed to process the data in any other way than what we decide. This means that they cannot use the data for their own purposes either. Our use of data processors is carefully evaluated, including in terms of information security, to ensure that data is processed correctly. We enter into written data processing agreements with our suppliers in accordance with legal requirements.
What rights do I have?
You have the right to access your personal data. You also have the right to obtain rectification or, in accordance with the law, erasure of the data we hold about you. You can also request that the processing be restricted if, for example, you consider the processing to be unlawful. You also have the right to receive certain data in a digital format or to have the data transferred to another company if you wish, known as the right to data portability. - You enter your details yourself when you take out a membership or subscription. If something is wrong or changes, you have the right to have incorrect information corrected. You can update some information in your account with us. For some data, you must contact us to have the data corrected.

Your right to copy your data in a digital format (right to data portability).
You have the right, under certain circumstances, to receive data that you have provided to us in a digital format and also to have data transferred to other activities if you so wish and it is technically feasible and justifiable. This right only applies to information processed by automated means and based on your consent or processed as part of the performance of a contract with you. The right to data portability only applies to data you have provided to us, either directly through, for example, contact forms or generated through your use of our services. We would like to draw your attention to the fact that there are some exceptions to the rights we have described here.
