Our network of pattern designers create patterns exclusively for our subscribers every month. You who are not a subscriber can buy our designer patterns via our shop one month after publication for subscribers.
Maria Gustafsson
Meet Maria Gustafsson, perhaps better known as @MariasGarn in the knitting world? Maria designs both clothes and small knitwear consisting of socks, mittens, hats, collars etc.
– I love yarn, mainly natural materials and wool is my absolute favourite. A locally produced rustic, slightly torn and lanolin-rich wool yarn can give me shivers of joy, says Maria.
Maria Magnusson
Meet NKS designer Maria Magnusson from Askim just outside Gothenburg, on Instagram you can find Maria as @mariamagnussonknitwear.
Maria’s pattern will be published with the theme of autumn, so you will have to wait a while for “Maria’s month”. Until then, you get a glimpse of who Maria is and can of course buy her previous designs in the shop.
Ragga Eiriksdóttir
Ragga has been knitting since she was 9 years old, as is often the case in Iceland, knowledge is passed from generation to generation, but Ragga has also learned knitting through the crafts at school.

Meet one of our Danish designers, Thea Vesterby, in knitting context probably better known as @vesterbycrea. Thea creates fantastic creations and in her designs you will often find an exciting element of technology.
Annelie Verbrugge
Meet the knitting podcaster and designer @powerofwool whose real name is Annelie Verbrugge and is from Glanshammar outside Örebro. Together with @Fiberdrama (Marie Östling) she talks about knitting in the podcast Hemstickat Podcast.
Helen Olsson
Meet our designer Helen Olsson, who in knitting contexts is better known as @Garnfrun on Instagram. Helen has many strings to her lyre. In addition to pattern design, she runs a knitting podcast on Youtube together with her knitting friend Sussie Wermen. (Sussie can be found as @sussieknits on Instagram.) You will find the girls’ joint accounts such as the Garnkärlek podcast on all social channels.
Anna Friberg
Socks, socks, socks and maybe a cowl or two? Now we have the pleasure to introduce Anna Friberg, better known as @Yarnesty on Instagram, as an NKS designer!
Anna is good at designing sock patterns, right now it’s the textured patterns on the socks that attract Anna the most! Do you know what the best is? Anna will design a series of four socks for NKS, launching in May, don’t miss this!
Emelie Brandén
We have the great pleasure to present Emelie Brandén, on Instagram known as @bybranden as the Nordic Knitting Society’s designer of the month and designer in our sock club!
First up is Emelie in the sock club where she designs a multicolored knitted sock which is the sock club’s pattern in September, in November she is the NKS designer for the pattern of the month – a wonderful long sweater that will warm us during the winter!
